Travel is one of my passions. I recently decided to start blogging about it. I wanted a place where I could share my my thoughts and ideas about traveling. The idea for blogging came about when a colleague came to me asking for advice in planning her 20th Anniversary. This is going to be her first trip to Europe and she wanted my expertise. Since this was not the first time someone has asked me for my advice regarding traveling. I though I would combine my passion for travel, writing and my background in education into a blog! Thanks for stopping by, and i hope you find something useful you can use in your travel adventures:) Feel free to comment or send questions, and I will be excited to keep the conversation going.
I caught the traveling bug when I backpacked the summer after college. For three weeks, I traveled through France, Holland, Spain and Switzerland. I learned the importance of making the best use time and money when traveling. At the time, I didn’t realize that I would be able to come back to Europe as regularly as I have. Since then, I have traveled to the United Kingdom, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Russia, Italy, Greece, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Turkey and Switzerland many times over.
This March, I will be taking my 19th trip overseas and my 11th trip with students. In the Spring of 2004, I began chaperoning student tours to Europe. In March of 2014, we will be traveling to the beautiful cities of London, Paris, Lucerne, Florence and Rome. I experience these cities all over again when I travel with students. I try to travel for myself in the summer, but I want to make the student trips about the kids. I am constantly learning and thinking of new ideas on how improve their traveling experience. One of my goals for these student trips is for the kids to catch the traveling bug too! Many of the students do, for they travel abroad in college.
Best Trip Ever, since 2004
